Choosing the right size dog jacket is all about getting a good fit for your pet’s comfort and safety. Here’s how you can do it:

• Measure your dog’s chest, neck, and back length using a soft tape measure. Most jackets list sizing based on these measurements.
• Check the sizing chart on the product page and compare your dog’s measurements to find the closest match.
• Consider adjustability—some jackets have adjustable straps or Velcro closures for a more custom fit.

If your dog is between sizes, it’s usually best to size up for comfort. A well-fitted jacket helps your dog move freely and stay protected during walks.

Most dog jackets are designed for easy cleaning, but always check the care label first. Here are some general tips:

• Machine washable jackets: Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Fasten any Velcro or zippers to prevent snags.
• Hand wash only jackets: Soak in cool water with mild soap, gently scrub, then rinse thoroughly.
• Air dry: Lay the jacket flat or hang it to dry, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Regular cleaning helps keep the jacket fresh and comfortable for your dog’s next adventure.

• Jackets with built-in harness holes or D-rings allow you to attach a leash easily.
• Layering tips: If your jacket doesn’t have a harness opening, you can sometimes put the harness over the jacket, as long as it fits comfortably and securely.
• Always check fit to ensure your dog can move freely and the leash attachment is secure.
