Start with what you want to showcase, then work backward from measurements.

• Measure your items: note medal diameter, ribbon length, and any photos or race bibs you plan to include.
• Check interior dimensions and depth: product pages list usable space. Give yourself a little clearance so pieces aren’t pressed against the window.
• Match formats: many displays are sized for 4x6 or 5x7 photos; larger boxes (e.g., 10x16, 16x20, or A4 formats) can fit bigger keepsakes.
• Capacity & layout: single-medal frames save space; racks with hooks hold multiple medals; some boxes include shelves.
• Placement: choose tabletop or wall-mount styles to fit your space.

On Walmart.com, you can browse a range of sizes and styles; delivery or pickup options may vary by location.

A gentle, reversible approach helps protect your keepsakes while keeping them secure.

• Medals: if your display has hooks, loop ribbons over them. In fabric-backed boxes, use straight pins or sewing snaps through the ribbon (not the medal). Avoid heavy adhesives on fabric.
• Race bibs: use photo corners or low-tack, acid-free mounting dots on the corners. Some 3-in-1 boxes include a dedicated bib area.
• Photos: slot into designated 4x6 or 5x7 openings when provided, or use photo corners on a linen backing.
• Fit check: arrange everything first, close the door/window gently, and adjust spacing so items aren’t pressed against the front.

These steps can help, but materials differ, so results may vary.

Think about how you want to display, protect, and expand your collection.

• Shadow boxes: enclosed with glass or acrylic to help reduce dust; great for curated layouts with photos, race bibs, challenge coins, or military medals. Some have hinged doors, shelves, or linen backings.
• Medal hanger racks: open hooks for high-capacity, quick add/remove—popular for runners collecting many medals. Some include a small photo frame above the hooks.
• Coin/3D frames: clear floating cases create a “suspended” look for coins and small medallions.

If you update your display often, open racks are convenient. If you prefer protection and a gallery look, an enclosed shadow box may suit you. Availability of shipping or pickup can vary by item.

Regular, gentle care helps your medal display frame look its best.

• Dust first: wipe the wood or metal frame with a soft, dry cloth.
• Glass or acrylic window: spray cleaner onto a microfiber cloth (not directly on the frame). For acrylic, use a cleaner designed for plastics and avoid abrasive pads.
• Avoid moisture: keep the interior dry; a small desiccant packet can help in humid spaces.
• Light exposure: placing displays away from direct sunlight can help reduce fading over time.
• Hardware check: periodically confirm wall anchors and hinges are secure, especially on deeper cases with shelves.

Cleaning needs may vary by material, so follow any care notes included with your specific item.

Many medal display frames also work for small collectibles; the right style makes it easier.

• Coins/medallions: 3D floating frames create a suspended look. Check interior window size and consider coin capsules for extra protection.
• Pins/badges: fabric or linen backings accept push pins; locking pin backs can add security if the case opens frequently.
• Rings: some shadow boxes include ring slots or foam inserts; depth helps prevent contact with the front panel.
• Layout: plan a balanced arrangement and avoid overcrowding so items don’t touch the window.

Always verify dimensions, depth, and weight recommendations in the product description. Selection and fulfillment options on Walmart.com can vary by location.
