Setting up a wood diffuser is usually quick and simple. Start by placing the diffuser on a flat surface away from direct sunlight or heat. For reed diffusers, carefully remove the cap and insert the reeds into the oil solution. For ultrasonic diffusers, open the lid, add water to the fill line, and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Plug it in, select your preferred mist mode, and enjoy the fragrance. Remember to review the included instructions for any product-specific tips or safety information.

Most wood diffusers are designed to work with a variety of essential oils, but it's a good idea to check the user manual for any restrictions. Some diffusers may work best with pure essential oils, while others are suitable for blends. Avoid using carrier oils or thick substances, as they may clog the diffuser or reduce its effectiveness. If you're unsure, refer to the product's guidelines for recommended oils for optimal performance and longevity.

Regular cleaning helps keep your wood diffuser running smoothly and maintains the quality of the fragrance. For ultrasonic diffusers, it's generally recommended to clean them every few uses or at least once a week. Unplug the unit, empty any remaining water, and wipe the inside with a soft cloth. For reed diffusers, wiping the bottle and replacing the reeds every couple of months can help refresh the scent. Always follow the cleaning instructions provided to avoid damaging the device.

Choosing the right size diffuser depends on your room's dimensions and how strong you'd like the scent to be. Larger capacity diffusers, such as those with 600ml or 700ml water tanks, can run longer and deliver fragrance to bigger areas. These are often a good choice for living rooms or open spaces. Smaller diffusers may suit bedrooms or offices. Consider the mist output and duration features listed in the product details to find the best fit for your space.

Some wood diffusers, especially ultrasonic models, can add a moderate amount of moisture to the air while dispersing fragrance. This can be helpful in dry environments or during colder months. Reed diffusers, however, are designed solely for scent and do not humidify the air. If adding moisture is important to you, look for diffusers labeled as humidifiers or with specific mist output features. Always review the product description to confirm its intended use.
