It depends on the look and durability you want. This category carries a mix of materials, so you can match your project style:

• Acrylic: Clear or white blanks that are lightweight and great for printed photos or designs. Some are one-sided and around 2 inches.
• Metal: Sturdy and sleek; often used for engraving or photo inserts. Stainless options can feel premium.
• Resin: Colorful initial keychains with tassels; eye-catching and fun.
• Leather: Softer feel; good for engraved text tags or photo sleeves.
• Wood/MDF: Typically for heat-transfer printing and DIY projects.

Check product size (e.g., 1–2 inches), single vs. double-sided designs, and included hardware.

Start by confirming your blank is labeled for sublimation (MDF, acrylic, or metal). Then:

1. Prep your artwork: Size designs to the blank (many are about 2 inches).
2. Follow equipment guidance: Use your heat press settings recommended for the specific blank type. Protect surfaces with clean sheets.
3. Press carefully: Steady, even pressure can help; results vary by materials and conditions.
4. Cool and finish: Let the piece cool, peel any protective film, then attach rings, tassels, or display cards.
5. Test first: If you have a bulk set, try one before making a batch.

Always reference the blank’s instructions and your press manual for the best outcome.

Several kits in this category include a button press (around 2.28 inches) and components for pins or keychains. To use it:

1. Confirm parts: Check the kit for shells, mylar, and keychain attachments—not all include them.
2. Cut your art: Use the circle cutter to match the press size.
3. Stack and press: Place shell, artwork, and mylar as directed; then press using the ergonomic handle.
4. Add hardware: Attach the key ring adapter per the kit guide.
5. Trial run: Make one sample to fine-tune alignment before a larger batch.

Settings and results can vary, so follow the included instructions closely.

Beadable keychain bars make quick, personalized gifts. Here’s a simple approach:

1. Match sizes: Check bead hole sizes against the bar’s range (some fit about 0.24–0.39 inches).
2. Thread thoughtfully: Slide on beads and spacers; leave a bit of room so they don’t bind.
3. Secure ends: Use end caps or stoppers included with the bar; ensure loops are fully closed.
4. Mind the weight: Heavier beads can add stress; choose sturdy hardware.
5. Tug test: Give a gentle pull to confirm everything’s snug before gifting.

You can also add tassels or charms for extra flair.

Gentle care helps keep custom keychains looking fresh:

• Metal or engraved: Wipe with a soft damp cloth; dry immediately to reduce spots.
• Acrylic: Use mild soap and water; avoid ammonia-based cleaners to help minimize clouding. Store separately to reduce scratches.
• Resin: Dust with a microfiber cloth; avoid harsh solvents. Keep away from prolonged heat or direct sun to help preserve clarity.
• Leather: Spot clean lightly with a damp cloth; don’t soak.

Periodically check rings, clasps, and tassels for wear. Care methods can vary by finish, so review the product description for any specific guidance.
