A quick plan can help a curved sectional sofa feel right at home.

1. Map your room: Measure wall-to-wall and note doors, windows, and focal points.
2. Check the listing: Look at overall length, depth, chaise length (if any), and seat height on the item page.
3. Mock the footprint: Use painter’s tape or newspaper to outline the curve and chaise so you can walk around it.
4. Confirm pathways: Leave about 30–36 inches for walkways where possible.
5. Measure entry routes: Doorways, stairs, elevators, and hallway turns matter. Compare these with boxed dimensions.

If you’re eyeing a modular style, piece sizes can vary, so review the module dimensions to plan the curve.

Chaise orientation is named from the seated position. If you’re sitting on the curved sectional sofa and the chaise extends on your left, it’s left-facing; on your right, it’s right-facing.

• Traffic flow: Pick the side that keeps walkways clear.
• Focal point: Aim the long side toward your TV, fireplace, or view.
• Room balance: Consider windows, radiators, or doors you don’t want to block.
• Measurements: Match chaise length to your available depth.

Some modular or reversible designs let you swap sides, while others are fixed. Check the product photos and specs on the item page to confirm orientation before you buy.

Different fabrics on curved sectional sofas have different trade-offs, so the best fit depends on your routine and preferences.

• Chenille and corduroy: The texture can help soften the look of everyday use and may feel cozy. Spot-cleaning practices vary by item.
• Bouclé and sherpa: Plush and stylish, but loops can catch; gentle vacuuming is often recommended.
• Velvet-like finishes: Luxe feel, though they can show marks and lint more readily.
• Color choice: Mid-tones can be forgiving; lighter shades may show spills faster.

Always review the care instructions on the product page or fabric tag and test any cleaner on a hidden area first. Results can vary by fabric and usage.

Curved sectionals can ship in multiple boxes, and some arrive vacuum-compressed. Delivery methods and timelines are shown on each item page.

• Unboxing: Open carefully and avoid sharp blades near fabric. Keeping packaging until you’re satisfied can be helpful.
• Expansion: Compressed cushions may take time to settle; allowing a day or two in a well-ventilated space can help, though timing varies by item.
• Assembly: Many modular styles connect with clips; some include detachable legs. Review the included guide before starting.
• Placement: Protect floors with felt pads and adjust pieces to maintain the curve.
