A cot cover is designed to protect and enhance the comfort of a cot mattress. It acts as a fitted sheet, covering the mattress to keep it clean and free from dust, spills, or everyday wear. Many cot covers are made from soft materials like cotton or microfiber, making them gentle for toddlers and kids in daycare or preschool settings. Some covers also offer waterproof or dustproof features, which can help extend the life of your cot mattress and make cleanup easier. Always check the material and fit to match your cot size and needs.

A cot wrapper typically refers to a protective layer that wraps around the cot mattress, often providing waterproof or dustproof protection. In contrast, a cot cover is usually a fitted sheet that sits on top of the mattress for comfort and hygiene. While both help keep the mattress clean, wrappers focus more on shielding against moisture and dust, whereas covers offer a soft surface for sleeping. Depending on your needs, you might use both together for added protection and comfort.

Choosing the right cot cover size depends on your cot's dimensions. Most standard cot covers fit mattresses around 23" x 51", but sizes can vary, especially for camp cots, RV bunks, or daycare beds. It's important to measure your cot mattress before purchasing and look for covers labeled as "standard" or with specific measurements. A snug fit ensures the cover stays in place and provides maximum comfort. If you have a unique cot size, check for specialty covers or adjustable options.

A cot is typically a smaller, portable sleeping surface, often used in daycare, camping, or guest settings. Beds are larger, permanent fixtures designed for everyday use at home. Cots are lightweight and easy to move or store, while beds offer more support and stability. Cot covers are made to fit these compact mattresses, whereas bed sheets come in standard sizes like twin, queen, or king. When shopping for bedding, make sure to select products specifically designed for cots to ensure proper fit and comfort.

Most cot covers can be machine washed for easy care. Always check the care label for specific instructions, as some materials like cotton or microfiber may require gentle cycles or cold water. Waterproof or vinyl covers might need to be wiped down with a damp cloth. To keep your cot cover fresh, wash it regularly and allow it to fully dry before reuse. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach, as these can damage the fabric or reduce softness. Proper cleaning helps maintain hygiene and extends the cover's lifespan.
