To check if an ink cartridge is compatible with your printer, start by looking at your printer’s model number. Most ink cartridges list the compatible printer models on the packaging or in the product description. You can also:

• Check your printer’s user manual for recommended cartridge types.
• Look for compatibility lists on the product page.
• Use Walmart’s search filters to narrow down options for your printer brand and model.

If you’re still unsure, reach out to Walmart’s customer service for help before purchasing.

The main difference is how much ink each cartridge holds. High-yield (sometimes called XL or XXL) cartridges contain more ink, so they can print more pages compared to standard ones. Here’s what to consider:

• High-yield: Great for frequent printing and can reduce how often you need to replace cartridges.
• Standard: Suitable for light or occasional printing needs.

Always check your printer’s compatibility with high-yield cartridges before buying.

It’s generally possible to use compatible or remanufactured ink cartridges as long as they’re designed for your printer model. However, mixing different brands in the same printer may lead to varying print quality or potential compatibility issues. For best results:

• Stick to cartridges that specifically list your printer model.
• Install cartridges from the same set when possible.
• Review your printer warranty terms regarding third-party ink use.

Always follow your printer’s guidelines for optimal performance.

Proper storage helps keep ink cartridges in good condition until you need them. Here are some tips:

• Keep cartridges in their original, sealed packaging until use.
• Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Lay cartridges flat to prevent ink from settling unevenly.

Following these steps can help maintain ink quality and prevent clogs or leaks when you’re ready to install them.

If your printer isn’t recognizing a new ink cartridge, try these troubleshooting steps:

• Remove and reinstall the cartridge, making sure it clicks into place.
• Power off the printer, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
• Check for any protective tape or packaging left on the cartridge contacts.
• Clean the cartridge contacts gently with a lint-free cloth if needed.

If the issue continues, consult your printer’s manual or reach out to Walmart’s customer support for further assistance.
