Choosing the right size fishing net depends on the type of fish you’re targeting and where you’ll be fishing. Here are a few tips to help you decide:

• Fish Size: Larger fish usually need bigger nets with wider hoops and deeper mesh.
• Fishing Location: If you’re fishing from a boat or in tight spots, a collapsible or telescopic handle can make things easier.
• Portability: For hiking or travel, look for lightweight or foldable nets.

Review the product details for hoop dimensions and handle length to match your needs.

Keeping your catch net clean helps it last longer and prevents odors. Here’s a simple routine:

1. Rinse the net with fresh water after each use, especially if you’ve been in saltwater.
2. Let it air dry completely before storing to avoid mold or mildew.
3. If needed, use a mild soap and a soft brush to remove debris, then rinse thoroughly.

Always check the manufacturer’s care instructions for any specific cleaning tips.

Many catch nets are designed for both saltwater and freshwater use, but it’s important to check the product description for details. Saltwater can be tough on materials, so nets with corrosion-resistant frames and synthetic mesh are a good choice. After saltwater use, always rinse your net with fresh water to help maintain its condition.

Some fishing nets offer replacement parts like handles or mesh, but availability can vary by product. It’s a good idea to check the product page or contact Walmart’s customer service for information on specific parts. Keeping your net in good shape with regular maintenance can also help extend its life.

Proper storage helps your net stay in top condition. Here’s what you can do:

• Make sure the net is completely dry before storing to prevent mold.
• Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can weaken materials over time.
• If your net is collapsible or telescopic, fold it gently to avoid bending the frame.

Following these steps can help your net last longer and stay ready for your next fishing trip.
