Start with how you’ll use it, then match features:

• Phone connection: Models with Bluetooth/Smartphone Link make syncing, settings, and time updates easier.
• Training tools: Step tracking is standard; some add lap memory (e.g., up to 200 laps), heart-rate, or GPS for more detailed workouts.
• Durability: Shock resistance and resin straps help for everyday wear and tougher activities.
• Water resistance: Look for 100M or 200M ratings if you plan to swim.
• Power: Some offer solar-assisted power; others use standard batteries.
• Fit: Check case size, thickness, and band materials for comfort.

You can choose shipping or store pickup at checkout, and review the product page for return options.

Many step tracker watches on this page list 100M or 200M water resistance, which can be suitable for pool use and light water activities. Always verify the rating on the product page and consult the manual for specific guidance.

• Before water: Ensure the crown/buttons are not pressed underwater.
• After water: Rinse with fresh water after salt or chlorine, then dry.
• Strap care: Resin bands handle moisture well; check that the band is secure.
• Avoid extremes: Hot tubs, high-pressure water, or chemicals can affect seals.

Actual water performance can vary by model and condition.

If your model mentions Bluetooth or Smartphone Link, you can usually pair it with a compatible phone:

1. Install the companion app referenced in the manual or product page.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and grant required permissions.
3. Start pairing from the app, then follow on-screen steps on both devices.
4. Keep them close during setup and let the initial sync complete.
5. Update firmware in the app if prompted.

If pairing fails, toggle Bluetooth off/on, restart both devices, or remove and re-add the watch in the app. Steps can vary by model and phone.

Regular cleaning helps your step tracker watch stay comfortable and fresh:

• Wipe daily: Use a soft, damp cloth to remove sweat and dust.
• Deep clean: Mix mild soap with water, gently scrub the band with a soft brush, rinse, and pat dry.
• After swimming: Rinse off salt or chlorine and dry completely.
• Avoid harsh chemicals: Skip solvents, strong detergents, and abrasive pads to prevent damage.
• Water caution: If rinsing the band while attached, avoid pressing buttons; verify your model’s water resistance first.

Store away from high heat and direct sunlight when not in use.

Small setup tweaks can help your step tracker watch record more consistent data:

• Wear it snugly about a finger or two above the wrist bone.
• Set your preferences in the watch or app (dominant hand, stride length, units).
• Sync regularly so activity data and time settings stay updated.
• Avoid loose sleeves covering the watch during workouts when possible.
• Keep firmware updated if your model supports updates.

Wrist-based step tracking estimates movement using sensors, so results can vary by activity and wearing style.
