Boyleg refers to a style of underwear or swimwear that features a straight cut across the thighs, offering more coverage on the hips and upper legs compared to traditional briefs. This design is inspired by men's boxer shorts but tailored for a comfortable, feminine fit. Boyleg styles are popular for their modesty, secure fit, and versatility—making them a great choice for active days, lounging, or swimming. You’ll find boyleg cuts in both underwear and one-piece swimsuits, providing extra coverage and a sporty look.

While both boyleg and full brief styles offer good coverage, they differ in cut and fit:

• Boyleg: Has a straight, short-like leg opening that extends a bit down the thigh, giving a boxier shape.
• Full brief: Sits higher on the waist and provides full rear and hip coverage, but typically has a curved leg opening that doesn’t extend as far down the thigh.

Choosing between them depends on your preference for leg coverage and overall fit. Boyleg styles are often chosen for a sporty or modest look, while full briefs focus on maximum coverage and support.

Many people find boyleg underwear and swimwear comfortable for everyday use. The extended leg coverage helps reduce chafing and prevents underwear lines under clothing. Boyleg designs often use soft, stretchy fabrics that move with you, making them a popular choice for active days or lounging. However, comfort can depend on the specific material, fit, and your personal preferences, so it’s a good idea to try a few styles to see what works best for you.

A hipster boyleg combines two popular styles: the hipster’s low-rise waistband and the boyleg’s straight, short-like leg opening. This means the waistband sits lower on the hips, while the leg openings provide extra coverage on the upper thighs. Hipster boyleg cuts are great if you want a modern, comfortable fit with a bit more coverage than standard hipsters, making them a versatile option for everyday wear or under a variety of outfits.

To find the best fit for boyleg underwear or swimwear, consider these tips:

• Check the size chart: Each brand may size differently, so use your waist and hip measurements to match the chart provided on Walmart’s product page.
• Look for stretch: Boyleg styles with stretchy fabrics can offer a more flexible fit.
• Read reviews: Customer feedback can give insight into whether a style runs small, large, or true to size.

If you’re between sizes, sizing up can sometimes help with comfort, especially if you prefer a looser fit around the legs.
