Choosing the right bench buffer size depends on what you plan to polish.

• 8-inch wheels are great for larger items or frequent use, offering a bigger surface area and more stability.
• Smaller wheels (like 4-inch or 6-inch) are easier to control for detailed work or tight spaces.

Consider the types of materials you'll be working with—metal, jewelry, wood, or plastic—and the available space on your workbench. If you're unsure, starting with a mid-size buffer can offer flexibility for most home projects.

Staying safe while using a bench buffer is important.

• Always wear safety glasses or a face shield to protect your eyes from flying debris.
• Secure loose clothing and tie back long hair to prevent them from getting caught in the machine.
• Use the buffer on a stable, flat surface and make sure the machine is properly mounted.
• Keep your hands clear of the spinning wheels and avoid applying too much pressure.

Following these tips can help reduce the risk of accidents and make your polishing projects smoother.

Yes, many bench buffers are suitable for polishing jewelry, especially those with adjustable speeds and compatible buffing wheels.

• Use soft cotton or felt wheels for delicate pieces to avoid scratches.
• Apply a gentle polishing compound designed for jewelry.
• Work slowly and check your progress often to prevent over-polishing.

Always check the manufacturer's instructions for your specific buffer and use the right attachments for the best results.

Regular cleaning and maintenance can help your bench buffer last longer.

1. Unplug the machine before cleaning.
2. Wipe down the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and debris.
3. Check the wheels for wear and replace them if needed.
4. Inspect the power cord and switches for any signs of damage.

Keeping your buffer clean and checking it regularly can help it run smoothly and safely for future projects.
