When you're heading to the beach, a mesh or sand-resistant backpack is a great choice. Mesh backpacks allow sand and water to escape, keeping your gear dry and clean. Look for features like wet/dry compartments, adjustable straps, and lightweight materials for easy carrying. Some backpacks also offer extra pockets for sunscreen, snacks, and water bottles. Choosing a bag with a drawstring closure can make packing and unpacking a breeze. Consider your needs—whether it's storing swim gear, toys, or towels—to find the right fit for your beach day.

Waterproof backpacks can be really helpful for swimming outings.

• They protect your belongings from splashes and wet gear.
• Many have separate wet and dry compartments, so you can keep swimsuits apart from electronics or towels.
• Look for bags with water-resistant zippers and reinforced seams for extra protection.

Cleaning your beach backpack is simple and helps keep it fresh.

1. Empty all pockets and shake out any sand.
2. Use a damp cloth to wipe down mesh or fabric surfaces.
3. If your backpack is machine washable, follow the care instructions on the label.
4. For stubborn stains, mild soap and warm water usually work well.
5. Let the bag air dry completely before storing.

It's smart to avoid packing items that can be damaged by heat, moisture, or sand.

• Delicate electronics without protective cases
• Food that spoils easily
• Valuables like jewelry
• Heavy or bulky items that make carrying uncomfortable

Mesh backpacks are versatile and can work for both school and beach outings.

• They're lightweight and breathable, making them ideal for carrying books, swim gear, or sports equipment.
• Some mesh backpacks are stadium approved, which is handy for events.
• Multiple compartments help keep items organized.
