Choosing the right size baking dish depends on your recipe and how many people you're serving.

• For casseroles or lasagna, a 9x13 inch dish is a popular choice for family meals.
• Smaller dishes, like 8x8 or 7x11 inches, are great for side dishes or desserts.
• Check your recipe for size recommendations, as using a dish that's too big or small can affect cooking time and texture.

Tip: If you're unsure, opt for a set with multiple sizes for flexibility in the kitchen.

Many baking dishes are microwave-safe, especially those made from glass or ceramic.

• Always check the product label or packaging for microwave compatibility.
• Metal or aluminum bakeware should never go in the microwave.
• Stoneware and ceramic dishes are often microwave-safe, but avoid sudden temperature changes to prevent cracking.

Reminder: If your dish has a lid, make sure it's microwave-safe as well.

Cleaning your baking dish is easier with a few simple steps:

1. Let the dish cool before washing.
2. Soak it in warm, soapy water to loosen baked-on food.
3. Use a non-abrasive sponge to avoid scratching the surface.
4. For tough stains, try a paste of baking soda and water.

Note: Most glass and ceramic dishes are dishwasher-safe, but always check the care instructions to keep your bakeware in great shape.

Many glass and ceramic baking dishes are designed to handle freezer storage.

• Look for bakeware labeled as freezer-safe.
• Let hot dishes cool before placing them in the freezer to prevent cracking.
• Using lids or covers helps protect your food and keeps it fresh.

Tip: Avoid sudden temperature changes—don’t move a dish straight from the oven to the freezer.

Handles make baking dishes easier and safer to carry, especially when they're hot or heavy.

• They provide a secure grip for moving dishes in and out of the oven.
• Handles can help prevent spills and burns.
• Some dishes feature ergonomic or double handles for extra stability.

Tip: Always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling hot bakeware.
