Back stretching boards are designed to create a gentle arch under your lower back. That shape can encourage a light stretch, which many people find relaxing after long periods of sitting or standing.

• Gentle stretch: The arch can ease pressure on tight back muscles and help you unwind.
• Posture support: The curve helps remind your spine of a neutral position while you lie down.
• Acupressure surfaces: Some boards include raised points that add a massaging feel.

You might occasionally hear or feel a pop, but that sound isn’t required for relief. Comfort and outcomes vary by person and how the device is used. If you have ongoing pain or concerns, consider checking with a qualified professional before use.

1. Set up: Place the board on carpet or a yoga mat so it doesn’t slip.
2. Start low: Begin on the lowest height/arch and lie down slowly with knees bent.
3. Keep sessions short: Try 3–5 minutes at first, then gradually work up to about 10 minutes as comfortable.
4. Breathe: Relax your shoulders and take slow breaths; avoid bouncing or sudden movements.
5. Listen to your body: Ease off if you feel sharp discomfort, tingling, or numbness.

Aim for gentle stretching, not force. Don’t sleep on the device or use it while distracted. Review the product’s manual for any specific instructions. If you’re unsure about using a stretcher with your situation, consider consulting a healthcare professional before starting.

• Adjustability: Many boards offer 3–4 height settings to tailor the arch to your comfort.
• Surface type: Choose smooth for a softer feel or acupressure/magnetic points for a firmer massage.
• Support and fit: Check the width, materials, and overall sturdiness for your body and intended use.
• Dual-sided designs: Some boards flip for two different textures.
• Electric options: Traction units with airbags or pads provide powered features; consider setup space and power access.
• Portability: If you want it for the office or travel, look for lighter, lower-profile styles.

Review product details and customer feedback to match your needs. Many items on Walmart.com offer convenient pickup or delivery options so you can get what fits your routine.

Some stretchers are better for chair support than deep floor stretches. If the product description mentions car or office use, you can try these tips:

• In the office: Place the board against your chair’s lower back area during short breaks to encourage upright posture. Keep the arch modest and ensure your chair remains stable.
• In the car (parked only): Use it when stationary to avoid distraction. Never use a stretching device while driving.
• Keep it brief: Alternate with standing and light movement to avoid prolonged pressure.
• Secure placement: Make sure it won’t slip and always follow the manual.

Comfort varies, so adjust or remove the device if it doesn’t feel right.

• Cleaning: Wipe hard surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water, then dry completely. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
• Foam/EVA areas: Spot clean and let air dry; avoid soaking.
• Electric units: Unplug first. Wipe the exterior only and keep moisture away from controls and ports.
• Hardware and magnets: Keep dry to help maintain condition over time.
• Storage: Store flat or in the orientation the manual recommends. Keep out of direct heat or sunlight and don’t stack heavy items on top.

Following the care instructions included with your specific product can help preserve appearance and function over time.
