By downloading the Apple TV Remote app or using the built-in remote feature in the Control Center on your iPhone, you can navigate menus, enter text, and control playback. This can be especially handy if your physical remote is misplaced or if you prefer using your phone's keyboard for searches. Just make sure your iPhone and Apple TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network for smooth operation.

Absolutely! If you need a replacement or extra remote, you can purchase just the Apple TV remote without buying a whole new streaming device. Walmart offers a variety of universal and replacement remotes compatible with different Apple TV generations. Be sure to check the product details to match your Apple TV model for the best compatibility.

• First, make sure your Apple TV is powered on.
• Hold the new remote close to the Apple TV unit.
• Depending on the remote type, you may need to press and hold specific buttons (like Menu and Volume Up) for a few seconds.
• Follow any on-screen instructions to complete pairing.

If you’re using a universal remote, refer to the included manual for setup steps. Pairing methods can vary, so checking the instructions for your specific remote model is always helpful.

Many Apple TV remotes and compatible universal remotes can control basic TV functions like power and volume, depending on your TV’s compatibility. Some remotes use infrared (IR) signals, while others may require setup through your Apple TV settings. For universal remotes, check the product description to see which TV brands and models are supported. Features can vary, so reviewing compatibility before purchase is a good idea.

• First, try replacing or recharging the batteries, as low power is a common cause.
• Make sure there are no obstructions between the remote and the Apple TV.
• If it’s still not working, try unpairing and re-pairing the remote following the setup instructions.
• For universal remotes, double-check the programming codes and settings.

If these steps don’t help, you might consider a replacement remote, which you can find at Walmart for various Apple TV models.
