Choosing the right size for an alien costume is all about comfort and fit. Start by checking the size chart provided on the product page—these often include measurements for chest, waist, and height. If you’re between sizes, it’s usually a good idea to size up for extra mobility, especially with inflatable or full-body suits. For kids, consider how much layering they’ll need underneath for warmth. If you’re shopping for a group or family, look for costumes labeled as unisex or with adjustable features for flexibility.

Most inflatable alien suits are designed for easy use. They typically come with a built-in fan and require just a few steps: step into the suit, secure the openings, and turn on the fan. It can help to have someone assist you the first time, especially with zippers or securing the battery pack. Make sure to read the included instructions and check that the fan and batteries are working before your event. Allow a few extra minutes for inflation, and you’ll be ready to go!

Cleaning your alien costume depends on the material. For most fabric or jumpsuit styles, spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap works well. Inflatable costumes should not be machine washed—instead, wipe the exterior gently and let it air dry completely before storing. Always remove any electronic components, like fans or battery packs, before cleaning. Check the care instructions on the costume’s label for the best results and to help your costume last for future events.

Accessories can really make your alien costume stand out! Consider adding items like glow sticks, space-themed headbands, metallic makeup, or gloves for extra flair. Some costumes pair well with tutus, capes, or even inflatable props. If you’re dressing up as a family or group, matching accessories can create a fun, coordinated look. Just make sure any add-ons are comfortable and don’t interfere with visibility or movement, especially for kids.

Proper storage helps keep your alien costume in great shape for next time. For fabric or jumpsuit styles, make sure the costume is clean and completely dry before folding it neatly. Inflatable costumes should be deflated, wiped down, and stored flat in a cool, dry place. Keep all accessories, fans, and battery packs together in a labeled bag or box. Avoid storing costumes in damp or humid areas to prevent damage or odors.
