Choosing the right door knob set depends on your needs and the type of door. Consider these tips:

• Function: Decide if you need a keyed entry, privacy, or passage knob.
• Style: Match the finish and design to your home’s decor.
• Compatibility: Check your door’s thickness and backset to ensure a proper fit.
• Security: For exterior doors, look for sets that include a deadbolt for added protection.

Review product details and installation requirements to make sure the set meets your expectations.

Many door knob sets are designed for easy DIY installation. Here’s what to keep in mind:

• Most sets come with step-by-step instructions and the necessary hardware.
• Basic tools like a screwdriver and tape measure are usually all you need.
• If your door already has holes, installation is often straightforward.
• For new doors or if you’re unsure, you might want to consult a professional for best results.

Always follow the included instructions and safety guidelines for a smooth installation experience.

Privacy knobs are typically used for bedrooms and bathrooms. They lock from the inside but can be opened from the outside with a generic tool in case of emergency. Keyed entry knobs are designed for exterior doors and require a key to unlock from the outside, offering more security. Consider where you’ll use the knob to choose the right type for your space.

To maintain your door knobs, regular cleaning is key:

• Wipe with a soft, damp cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
• Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads, as these can damage the finish.
• For stubborn spots, use a mild soap solution and dry thoroughly.

Routine care can help preserve the appearance and function of your door hardware over time.

If a part of your door knob set wears out or breaks, replacement parts may be available through the manufacturer or hardware retailers. It’s helpful to keep your product’s model number and installation instructions handy. You can also check with Walmart’s customer service or visit the store for assistance in finding compatible parts for your set.
