Insta360(100)

Both are great for action, but they shine in different ways.

• Capture: 360 cameras record in all directions, letting you choose angles during editing.
• Creative effects: Many support an “invisible selfie stick” for floating‑camera shots.
• Stabilization: Built‑in stabilization can keep footage smooth during fast movement.
• Trade‑offs: 360 footage (5.7K or 8K, depending on model) uses more storage and may take longer to edit.
• Regular cams: Typically simpler workflows with smaller files and a fixed field of view.

If you want flexible framing and immersive angles, 360 helps. For quick, straightforward clips, a traditional single‑lens camera may be more convenient.

It depends on what you want to create and how you’ll edit.

• Detail and reframing: Higher resolution can keep shots sharper when you crop or create multiple angles from one clip.
• Low‑light and clarity: Some models emphasize low‑light performance and advanced processing for cleaner video.
• Stabilization and wind reduction: Built‑in stabilization and wind‑noise features can help with run‑and‑gun shooting.
• Workflow: 8K files are larger; fast memory cards and a capable phone/computer can make editing smoother. Many bundles include a memory card and useful accessories.

If you’re experimenting, lower resolutions can still look great. If you plan to reframe often or publish on large screens, 8K can be beneficial.

They serve different shooting styles, and some systems let you use both.

• 360 mode: Captures everything around you for reframing later, plus effects like an “invisible” selfie stick. It’s helpful when action is unpredictable.
• Single‑lens mode: Shoots a standard wide‑angle view with smaller files and a simpler edit, ideal for straightforward clips.
• Modular options: Some kits include both a 360 lens and a wide‑angle lens or offer interchangeable lenses, so you can switch based on the scene.

Choose 360 for maximum flexibility, or single‑lens for a streamlined workflow. Many creators use both depending on the activity.

Many models here are built for wet conditions, but details vary.

• Waterproof rating: Check the product page for the exact depth rating and whether a dive case is suggested for deeper water.
• Before you shoot: Ensure battery doors and ports are fully sealed. Clear any dust or sand from gaskets and lens areas.
• Aftercare: Rinse with fresh water after salt or chlorinated use, then dry completely before opening any doors.
• Limitations: High‑pressure jets and hot water can compromise seals. Touchscreens and buttons may be less responsive underwater.

Always follow the user manual and local conditions; results can vary based on usage and environment.

Runtime varies by model and how you shoot.

• What affects runtime: Resolution (e.g., 8K vs. 5.7K), frame rate, stabilization, screen brightness, and cold weather can impact battery life.
• Swappability: Many models support replaceable batteries, and some kits include extra batteries and a charger. Others charge via USB‑C.
• Extend your day: Carry spares, use power‑saving settings, and consider a power bank during breaks in dry conditions.
• Check the listing: Product pages list approximate battery life; actual time varies with settings and environment.

Planning accessories like spare batteries or a charger can help you record longer sessions without interruption.
