Choosing the right deck box size depends on how many cards you want to store and whether you use card sleeves. Here’s what to consider:

• Card Count: Check how many cards your deck has, including any sideboards or extras.
• Sleeved vs. Unsleeved: If you use sleeves, pick a box that fits sleeved cards, as they take up more space.
• Extra Room: Some players like extra space for tokens or dice, so consider a slightly larger box if you carry accessories.

Always check the product description for capacity details to match your needs.

Matte and clear sleeves serve similar purposes but offer different experiences:

• Matte Sleeves: These have a textured finish that helps reduce glare and makes shuffling smoother. They’re popular for tournaments and frequent play.
• Clear Sleeves: These are glossy and show off card artwork more vividly. They’re great for collectors who want to display their cards.

Both types protect your cards from wear and tear, so it comes down to your preference for look and feel.

Many deck and storage boxes are designed to fit double-sleeved cards, but it’s important to check the box’s capacity. Double-sleeved cards are thicker, so you’ll need a box with a higher card count rating. Look for descriptions mentioning compatibility with double sleeves or higher capacity (like 100+ or 200+ cards) to ensure a comfortable fit for your collection.

To keep your card sleeves in good shape:

• Wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
• Avoid using water or cleaning chemicals, as these can damage the sleeves.
• Store your sleeved cards in a clean, dry deck box when not in use to prevent dirt buildup.

Regularly checking and cleaning your sleeves can help maintain their look and feel during games.

Many card storage boxes are designed with travel in mind. Features like secure closures, reinforced corners, and compact shapes help keep your cards safe on the go. Some boxes also have handles or zipper closures for extra convenience. For best results, choose a box that matches the size of your collection and fits easily in your bag or backpack.
