The recharging cord is very short, and only came with a USB connection, no cord supplied to use to use the unit to recharge a cell phone (even though unit has a port to do so)?

WOW, this fan is small but mighty! It does the job perfectly. It's quite but powerful! Love the light with the 3 settings! I would encourage anyone to buy this fan! Camping in Oklahoma it gets hot, used it this weekend and it did the job of keeping me cool! Use the hook to hang out anywhere or sit on your nightstand to keep you comfy at night. I give this 5 stars and recommend this!
