Restored HP 15.6" FHD, AMD R5-5500U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, SPRUCE BLUE, Windows 11, 15-ef2126wm (Refurbished)

The only thing I can say I dislike is the brightness, at times is kind of dark but other than that is a great product! 🤗

To make it clear, this is a refurb laptop. Refurbs normally have multiple checks run to determine why they were returned. Apparently this one was just visually inspected and checked to see that it worked. The SSD started to fail right away. High temp warning 70C laptop fan on high, bottom of case hot. Crystal disk reported the number of writes at 3008 GB, 899 power on cycles for the SSD. 1308 hours uptime. Looks like at some point the OEM SSD was changed out for an old one. Replaced SSD and laptop is running beautifully now at 33C under load. CPU runs at 40C. Overall unit is very nice, no scratches, no visible damage or wear. Other than the SSD problem, I would have said the laptop is nearly new. Seven months remaining on warranty. Had there not been a problem with the SSD I would rate this at 5. As it is, I have to give it a 3. I'll see if any other problems develop. I have 29 days left to return. If I didn't know how to replace the SSD I would have had to return this computer (using it to post review). I downgraded this to windows 10 when I installed the new SSD. This unit was purchased to replace a dying 2019 model HP Pavilion. The smaller size case with the same size 15.6 screen is a plus. All in all, I would recommend this, just run a few tests when you receive it, it is a good buy for what you get.
