Use quality water with a ph level of at least 8, not too alkaline or or or your hot, steamy, luscious coffee will taste like bath water with coffee in it. Which some say is not that good. But I digress. It's a good coffee machine. Simple to use for simps and non-simps. On top of all this facts it's very inexpensive and worth every nickel and dimes since pennies are not being made no mas. Give a hoot don't support (insert “coffee” chain here). Period.

Brews really slow. The carafe is a twist off lid not a thumb press. The water tank is a slight hassle to remove and replace each time. My Dunkin coffee did come out flavorful but equally so with any new coffee maker. Save the $ and buy a Mr Coffee maker
