HoMedics Relax+ Portable Digital BP Machine with Extra Large Cuff, 100AHBT Series

I am really impressed with this machine. The display is large and easy to read. It measured blood pressure with no problems. The irregular heartbeat detection is a really nice feature. The app was a little difficult to find in the app store but once I downloaded the correct one, it was a breeze to use. The app worked seamlessly and automatically on my iPhone 13. Overall, it’s a pleasure to use.

I’ve never used an “at home” BP monitor. I wasn’t sure if the Homedics brand “stay heart healthy BP monitor” would be accurate, but in the short period that I’ve had the device, it’s been spot on. I work in a health care setting and actually compared the readings with those of the hospital’s monitors and they were nearly identical; there were a few readings that varied slightly, but I was impressed by the overall performance of this monitor. The main reason I chose this particular device was because of its ability to also detect irregular heartbeat, which can alert one to possible life threatening conditions ( stroke, heart failure, etc) As someone with a history of cardiac problems, this device gives me peace of mind. The monitor is fairly easy to use. There are a lot of options such as:Bluetooth technology, cuff fitness detection, memory averages, and the ability to store readings for 2 users ( up to 120 memories each profile) . I had some difficulty with the getting the pulse reading. I got several errors, but was able to troubleshoot with the instructions and figure it out easily enough. At first, trying to figure out all the features was a bit overwhelming, but there are clear instructions and I was able to get the hang of it after a few uses. The monitor comes with the BP cuff attachment ( one size fits most) and a handy storage bag. It requires 4 AA batteries (which are included) and is also AC adapter compatible. I have yet to use the Bluetooth technology, so I can’t comment on that feature yet, but it is neat that is an option. Overall, this is a great little monitor and I definitely recommend it.
