Best laptop I ever had.

I own another laptop Asus Rog x12(2022) model. But this is one of the best laptops I have ever owned. Very sturdy and stable laptop. The OLED screen is beautiful and the hard drive is very fast. Copy/paste of large files is very very quick. The only complaint I have is that the laptop exterior is a fingerprint magnet. I wish Asus had silver version.

Amazing all around laptop

I've been loving this laptop so far. The build quality is amazing. It's really light and sturdy, and the metal frame feels great compared to cheaper plastic builds. The screen looks great, with great colors, viewing angles, and brightness levels. The keyboard feels nice, and you can open the lid with one finger which is a nice touch. The negatives that I've found are the trackpad and speakers. The trackpad is decent, but not amazing. The physical button clicks don't feel great, but the finger taps work great so it's not much of a concern. The dedicated Copilot key is a replacement for a right control key and can't be remapped to anything since it's bound to some weird Ctrl Shift F23 macro at a hardware level. That's really annoying if you don't plan to use it, but basically every lunar lake laptop has the same problem as far as I can tell. The speakers however are HORRIBLE. They are bottom-facing, which is common for 14" laptops, but they'd sound terrible even if they were front-facing. They have bad distortion and start crackling even at medium-low volumes. They're easily some of the worst laptop speakers I've ever heard and are almost unusable. You'd definitely want headphones or dedicated speakers if you need sound. The battery life of the laptop because of lunar lake is absolutely incredible. I'm easily getting 12 hours of battery life on a full charge doing basic things like web browsing and video streaming. I tried playing a simpler 2D game in Slay the Spire 2 (which ran at a perfect 60fps), and had only burned through ~8% battery after an hour of playing. The laptop also only ever got luke-warm and I never noticed the fans once. I'd be very confident going a day or two without a charger on hand. This is great value at the ~$900 price point that I purchased it at compared to other laptops on the market. Getting this level of build quality mixed with a lunar/panther lake CPU is hard to find, especially if you're looking for 32GB of ram instead of 16GB.

Vivobook S14 with Intel Lunar Lake chipset

I was looking for a laptop to replace my very old and slow Microsoft Surface that had served me well. I wanted something with great battery life, good overall specs and that would last for the next 3+ years without concern. I wanted Windows Hello, 32GB of RAM, 1TB NVMe storage and over 10 hours of battery with OLED display. This laptop checked all the boxes with great battery life, performance and features. I like the backlit RGB keyboard, the touchpad is very responsive and easy to use and keyboard is easy to type on. I really think Asus knocked it out of the park with this device in terms of the form factor and build quality. I had a previous Asus Vivobook from about 10 years ago and it also was very good for its day and time. This is really a step up and competes with models costing much more money. Highly recommend if you are looking for a portable power house that is up to the challenge of day to day use while traveling.
