I let the water boil, then took it off the stove like the directions said then took the mouth guard out, licked my lips before putting it in my mouth and bit down hard as well as formed it with my fingers against my gums, then ran it under a cold tap It worked perfect, first try. I was worried to get this from the reviews but it worked great You can also cut off any extra stuff on the sides you don't want there this thing is great actually

Great product my son grinds his teeth we use to buy an adult size and try to size them these fit perfectly %26 since he sometimes misplaces them it's nice to have a few pairs instead of having to look for them at bedtime. We've had them for a couple of months now and they're very durable
