The mop does work, although slightly oddly. In short, you have to pump the handle manually to both get it started and to keep it going. When you are mopping the handle will move in and out on its own, but if you stand there waiting for it to start steaming at the onset without moving the handle you will be disappointed. I actually thought it was broken and was ready to return it until I realized. But once that is accomplished, it's a perfectly acceptable inexpensive steam mop. It doesn't quite get hot enough to instantly dry the floor, but it does dry within 2-3 minutes. It gets a ton of dirt up and is easy to put the mop pads on to. The little prompt below is telling me to include hardwood, floors and wood, which I guess there's no reason not to. I only have tile, but it ought to work on anything. Maybe check a review for someone who tried it on wood. It's also easy to get extra mop pads for. The water container is a bit of a pain to get off, but does remove with a bit of tugging and snaps back on simply. So I'm glad I didn't return it. I wouldn't spend much more on it than I did, but for the price it's fair.

the things i love about this cleaner is the price. we were lookimg for something with a decent price and funally found it. i have laminate wood flooring. it had the floor looking bright and new. we were using a swiffer wet jet multiple times a day yet, with the 1st use of this cleaner the pad was filthy. I think it was product build-up but it removed everything. also, i like that is warmed up quickly in like a minute. it definitely has deep cleaning ability. the only thing i do not like is that it only comes with one pad. sonwe have to wash it immediately in order to continue using. other than that so far no complaints. I'd definitely recommend.
