LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Luigi Starter Course 71387 Building Toy Playset (280 Pieces)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I kid I loved Lego and so did my eldest son. The kits over the years got bigger and better and now it's my youngest sons turn and oh my how things have progressed! The interactive aspect of these kits is fantastic and brings a whole new dimension to just building Lego. In the starter kit you get a quick start guide and 7 packs of lego plus a Lugi figure (this needs 2 x AAA batteries which are not supplied). You will need to download the lego Mario app from your devices app store. First thing to do is complete the build of luigi and insert the batteries, then download the app and connect Lugi via Bluetooth to your device/app. Once connected he comes alive (note he needed a couple of firmware upgrades and this took a few minutes to complete). He can recognise different coloured blocks and also tell if he is jumping etc. Also contain in the pack are several characters and surroundings like green tunnel and fishishing pole etc. On the app you follow the installation instructions which are very clear. Once you have built it all you can create your own courses and Lugi will interact as you go round and the idea is to collect as many coins as you can. If you have the Mario set you can connect Mario and Lugi together so they work as a team. There are loads if addon packs so you can make the course as big or small as you like. Speaking of which I need to now go and build our add on set which I will review once completed.

I bought for myself to build, also for my 3 years old can play after I build it. I think the Luigi one is much better build then the Mario one, I can also see some improved adjustments. But the app some time is confusing even for parents. But my 3 years old like to play with the app anyway. So I give a 5 star.
