Cuisinart 9 cup processor

My son gave me this food processor for Christmas and I love it! I previously had the smaller version for many years but this one is a game changer. I love to cook and bake so it has made a big impact on the time I spend on ingredients and recipes! It is sturdy and dependable and very easy to use, I would highly recommend it!

Solid

I have a small two-cup chopper, but needed something that would slice & grate. We've only used it once so far, to grate cheese, and it has a strong safety feature where if everything is not lined up just right, it will not power up. That's good for safety, maybe a bit more difficult on getting it to work. It grated the cheese without a struggle, so I'm sure it will handle something firmer like veggies quite well.

impressed. good quality

I am very skeptical of any new small appliance--or any appliance for that matter--that I purchase. My last food processor lasted only about one year before sonething in the motor broke, but it was not a Cuisinart. I saw this unit on sale and decided to buy it. It arrived in a big Walmart box, which surprised me. It also arrived much quicker than what was quoted. The machine was very well-packaged. There was nother box within the Walmart box, and thosre air pillows in between. Within the product's box was even more cardboard components. I unpacked the machibe and discovered that I seems well-built. My first impression is that nothing feels cheap. It's plastic, but it's a thicker plastic. The spindles and connection points seem well-designed to prevent stripping, slippage, and breaking. The slinger disc on the continuous feed slicer has a notch to help shuttle food out, which I thought was a nice attention to detail. I had a different food processor years ago that didnt have that. The feed chute has a large and small opening. Overall, and am very impressed with the unit and it's design. The motor housing indicates that unit can pull up to 350 watts, which I consider to be a decent sized motor for a food processor. I would recommend this product, especially if it is still on sale. I can foresee it lasting a while in my kitchen.
