I'm already in the Microsoft ecosystem so the choice for me was easy. You have to temper your excitement when it arrives; even with a 2.5 GbPS internet connection it took hours to update, restart, repeat. The Series X is was faster than the Xbox One it replaced. Load times are significantly reduced, graphics are awesome, etc. There are enough game titles out there for Xbox that you should always be able to find something engaging and age appropriate, even for younger kids.
