Great Rack

I'm really impressed with this power cage/squat rack. I had a pull up/dip station and wanted a little more versatility and after doing some research decided to buy the BalanceFrom PC-1. It fits my needs and more. Its plenty rigid enough for my lifting needs and it will allow me to do some exercises using some resistance bands too. I'm not trying to break any lifting records I'm just trying to get a little healthier and do some regular weightlifting. I noticed during my research that there were some complaints about the packaging and some damaged parts. From what I read I noticed that a lot of the issues regarding the bent parts where the uprights that had sort of a 'U' shaped bracket that could be damaged during shipping. Well. it seems they fixed that problem by getting rid of the 'U' brackets and instead using some 'T' brackets that help bolt the uprights to the cross pieces. So now you just get square tubing uprights with no welded 'U' brackets. As far as packaging goes, I was really impressed; my rack came in a cardboard box that was lined all sides including the top and bottom with thin plywood which made everything really sturdy and well protected. The only complaint I have is that they do not include any washers which from what I have read online will really make the whole rack a lot more rigid. I bought my own washers for few dollars sot that wasn't a big deal. You could definitely put the rack together without any washers and still be fine, but I like the idea of adding a little extra rigidity for a few dollars. I can also speak to their customer service. My rack didn't come with any assembly instructions, so I reached out to BalanceFrom's customer service and within 24 hours they sent me a pdf of the assembly instructions. I've had the rack for a few days and I am really happy I made the purchase I feel like I have so many new opportunities to try different exercises that I was not able to before. I intend to purchase the lat pull down accessory in a few months once its back in stock.

Solid, Reliable, and Does Exactly What It Should

The power cage is solidly built with sturdy steel and smooth, secure safety bars that make every lift feel safe and reliable. Setup was straightforward and it performs exactly as expected for squats, benching, and accessory work without any wobble. Overall, it's a dependable piece of equipment that does what it's supposed to do with no surprises.

Perfect for most at a great price

For the price, I give this a five star! This is in my basement with 84" ceilings, I was able to attach the dip bar upside down so it fits. This does limit the ability of doing a full range of motion pull up but not a deal breaker for me. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on the product page, so I hope this helps others with low ceilings. Shipping %26 Packaging Arrived quickly! Just two days after ordering, even though the website said it would take longer. Packaging wasn't an issue for me, everything arrived as expected and all parts were there. There's also a note in the instructions to reach out to customer service in case of missing parts. Assembling When assembling, make sure you don't tighten the top side bars until you have them all in place, otherwise you might struggle to line up the last two bars (back and front). I would highly recommend using an impact driver to tighten the bolts after you have put everything together, it made the cage feel more sturdy. The impact driver also helped reduce the time of assembly, just make sure you don't over tighten the bolts until you have everything in place. Stability I wish the connecting T plates were thicker, I think that would more stability to the rack overall - that seems to be the source of the slight wobbly when you push on the rack or drop heavy weight on it. Another great addition would be an optional way to attach it to the floor or wall for more stability. I ordered the Weight Plate Holders which I hope adding some weight to the rack will help stabilize it while doing dips and TRX rows. I also ordered the Spotter Arms and T-Bar Row, I'll update the review once I have those installed.
