We love this Lego set so much that we've bought it at least 3 times over the past couple of years. It's a great value for the price and it keeps our young nephews busy for hours. It's the one item they look for when they come for a visit. One year I made the mistake to give away the set we had for years when our kids were growing up. And quickly realized it was the biggest mistake and had to urgently order a replacement. We have also gifted this very set to two of our nephews for Christmas one year. Kids can be creative and think of something completely new to build as there are many different types of pieces. Its not like you can only make one thing and there isn't much to experiment.
