Remember back to the times when you could only watch this Treasured TV Holiday Special on ONE night of the year at one time only. You couldn't tape it or record it. There were no VHS tapes or DVDs,… and definitely no streaming options,… and you were absolutely devastated if you missed it! Well now it's yours to own and take home!!! Rankin/Bass ruled the tv holiday specials world from the mid 1960's thru the mid 1980's and they got it exactly right with this one! Holds Up Incredibly Well

I had not watched this since I was a kid and sometimes a film or tv show seen through adult eyes no longer holds up so well. This one does and it does so brilliantly. As a kid I never took the time to appreciate the artistry and technical achievements of this short film. It is simply beautiful. And then there is the music. One great song after another. Some I remembered, others I had forgotten. I know it's odd to watch a Christmas film during Halloween season but I saw this at only five bucks and I wanted to revisit my childhood.
