Heavy weighted bottom making it a floor lamp. If you want to use the bottom that is. I hung one of them and used the bottom on the other. Easy to use, Very bright. With a creative touch you can easily dress them up into a designer lamp you really like. I did. As long as the LED's last the years they should it will be a very good purchase.

Would like it to be brighter or a whiter light

I saw many prices for this and luckily I got it for $45. Otherwise, it was a little too pricey for me. I wish the color was brighter than the yellowish.hue. It works more like an accent light than providing any real light in their room.
