The 40th Anniversary 4K UHD release of Poltergeist finally gives this classic supernatural horror film the presentation it deserves. Although the disc does not include Dolby Vision, the HDR10 grading is very effective: Deeper, more stable black levels enhance the tension in darker scenes. Improved shadow detail allows you to see more without crushing. Bright supernatural effects (portals, ghost lights) stand out with more intensity. Colors remain natural, only becoming slightly more vivid when the haunting intensifies—faithful to the original tone. This is my personal favorite horror film by far and it still holds up now. Without going into too much detail, it is the story of a family dealing with supernatural forces trying to tear them apart. Brilliant. DO NOT MISS. ENJOY.
