We have an older version on this step stool. My husband stole it from me (lol) so I needed to get my own. This version is nicer. More nice? Anyway, the first step is slightly bigger. I like that. Its a smidgen taller and feels more stable. When folding it out to use it has a nice hook that locks everything in. The old version had a little handle and when you wanted to fold it up, you had to pull the handle to unlock it. Over time that handle got harder and harder to pull. This version has a large easy to lift locking system. Much easier on my old lady hands.
