Much Needed Upgrade

I came from a dated spinning disk drive that was solely being used for game storage. The months leading up to buying this, I realized I would significantly benefit from upgrading to an SSD for loading performance. Needless to say, it was been in every way. Needs Firmware Update, But Works Solid!

While this needed a factory firmware update via the Sandisk Dashboard Software to get it to work properly in Windows 11, this drive has been solid for the price! I got it before the tariffs kicked in %26 was on sale. Needless to say, it was a very good purchase! :D

Buy the BLACK, avoid the BLUE!

I purchased this to replace a dead WD Blue M.2 drive. Do NOT purchase the Western Digital Blue series of NVME/M.2 solid state drives. They often either do not work out the box (like mine), or fail within a year. Just check the reviews. Unlike its WD Blue cousin, the WD Black hard drive was detected immediately after installation. Compared to the 8 year old Samsung 250GB SSD it was replacing, this 1TB drive has me zoomin'. A fantastic upgrade that was well worth the price.
