I know this is a kids gadget but the packets are not even ice cream. It makes a cold paste, more of a pudding texture and super sweet. Wouldn’t buy again, buy a small real ice cream maker instead

Cheaper and easier to just buy ice cream :)

I was so excited about this product when I found it online, but unfortunately ended up being so disappointed when I actually tried to use it. If you're thinking about buying this for a younger child (my daughter is 5) you're going to end up doing all the work yourself. To start, not one mix comes with it - so be sure to purchase those separately with this if you do so. It takes hours just to get the tray to freeze to even begin making the "ice cream". In the end you end up with a thick creamy glop that tastes nothing like ice cream at all. Super bummed. Sadly would not recommend.
