Very Good Battery, But Confusion Over Old Battery

Walmart's EverStart Platinum AGM battery provides ample power with a strong warranty that helps justify the cost. Note however that my purchase was online with a pick up at the store. When I then took back the old battery for credit, along with my online receipt, it was not accepted at the store. Customer service told me they could not process the refund, but I was never clear as to why.

If you bought your battery in a Walmart store, you could get the core fee refunded right away when you bring the old battery (the core) with you. If you didn’t have the core at the time, you can bring it back later with your receipt to get your refund. For batteries bought online, whether by delivery or curbside—the core fee will be refunded as a gift card after you return the old battery to the store. The store team can start the return using the returns tab, choose the non-receipted returns option, and then scan or enter this UPC: 19434621915. If the store has an issue please show them one of these reviews. We recommend returning cores from online orders at stores with an Auto Care Center, since they’re more familiar with the core return process and can help make it smoother. SM-Clarios

Car batteries at Walmart - who knew??

I woke up to a dead car battery. I borrowed my hubby's truck and went about my day. I stopped at a well known auto parts stores and the first one was honest with me and said there are only two battery manufacturers in the US. He suggested I go across the street which was cheaper. It was still more than I thought I should pay so I went home and.checked Walmart online. I was pleasantly surprised that they had one with a 4 yr warranty for $200. I ordered it and it was ready to pick up in 2 hrs. Easy peasy and my hubby put it in without any trouble in less than an hour. I didn't even know Walmart sold car stuff like this. Nice to know for future car issues.
