Awesome toy but this one had an unsafe item

I bought this toy for my son and when I was opening I cut myself with a cutter that I do y know if it goes with the toy to get the toy out , it looked used and had no cover on the cutting side , which is totally unsafe. I don't know if this is enough to let the manufacturers know or if I should go to their website.
