I struggled to get started, but on a second try figured out that i needed to completely fill uo the tank (distilled water) using the special cup twice. the yellow dial has to be in the unlocked position (the swxond black dial controls the amount of steam) and then with a bit of force, push the sliding button forward. It almost cleans like a pressure washer..

I really like this little machine! It holds quite a bit of water! Unlike my other little BISSELL steam cleaner. But it is a hand held too, so it’s a smaller steamer. But this machine gets quite a bit hotter! I wished there was a temperature gauge on it to tell exactly how hot it is getting! But none the less, I’m happy with it and it is helping me with the job of cleaning around this farm house that I’m having to deal with!
