this is my go-to milk product. it usually outlasts the best by date by a week. when I was young we wouldn't touch 1% for 2% because it was so watery. but now in my old age this 1% is what I prefer. has a great flavor and in my opinion not watery at all.

I always get GV gal size milk either the fat free or 1% version. If either of those are unavailable then we go for the 2% fat choice. We use it it for cooking, on cereal , in smoothie/ shake combos and to dunk cookies or graham crackers . I have used it as a remedy for relieving the burn of peppers that were hotter than expected. It supplies calcium, some protein and less fat than whole milk. I prefer my milk icy cold, well chilled if I am going to drink it by the glass.

It Delivers - Just Barely

C'mon, people… milk in grocery retail has improved over the years. 1% milk is just that - a persnickety half-hearted attempt to bridge the gap between skim milk to the rest of the milk family (haha..). It is there for the people who like it. We buy it for them.
