Instructions
Step 1. Remove clothing or other items. Place tablet in washer, not in dispenser. Step 2. Add 1 tablet to washer once a month using a normal cycle with the hot water setting. For washers with a clean washer cycle, add 1 tablet to the washer and run the cycle. Step 3. For machines where odor is present, run 3 wash cycles consecutively using 1 tablet in each cycle. Follow the same instructions as above. Step 4. Remove any residue which may be left behind.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Grandpa is 78, still able to live alone but his ability for appliance maintenance has diminished. Like a lot of older men he forgets things like emptying facial tissues and general cruddy stuff from his pockets or spilled food from his shirts and pants. This creates a dirty build-up as the water drains. When we noticed his washing machine didn't seem to be doing it's job so when this sample came we used it right away. The first tablet seemed to help a bit but we tried the second one and the machine appears to be working just fine. We think the only reason it took a second tablet to finish the job is because we were negligent in fully recognizing grandpa's habits sooner. The third tablet we used to clean our own washer and it worked just fine. Affresh is a permanent staple on our 'grocery' list.
