I have other furniture by this maker and have enjoyed them, and this is no different. Easy to put together, well-manufactured with holes in the right place, good packaging to prevent damage in transit, and looks nice. This has sturdy steel bars and feels like it will support more weight than the 220lb indicated. It's also got leveling feet, which I love. It's a nice piece... ..but it's pretty small. It's made to be narrow width-wise, but I feel like the bench height and depth are more suitable for children than adults, especially when you have things hanging on the hooks behind you. The shoe shelves, because the bench isn't quite high enough, are also too narrow top to bottom to fit my husband's shoes or upright toddler boots. I may have to remove the bottom shelf and put a mat under to accommodate taller shoes and boots. The hanging bar at the top is thin, and doesn't sit far enough from the back wall to be useful (again, a depth issue). I also don't like the fact the hooks aren't attached. It's nice that they slide to where you need them, but half the time when I take a coat off a hook, the hook comes off with it. Would be better to attach them with sliders in a groove in the wood so they can still slide back and forth, but don't come off. Anyway, I do like it visually, and my kids LOVE it because it's their size 😂 and it also fits like a glove in the narrow space I bought it for, so I'm keeping it.
