I used Ben Moore products for years. STIX is a great product. I've painted over glossy ceramic tile a few times and never had a problem. I would definitely recommend this product.

After it's painted the Stix won't be exposed.

I'm wondering if the previous reviewer might consider that Stix might not scratch off AFTER the paint is applied on top of it. The fact that it scratched off with your fingernail may be completely irrelevant to the quality of the product. It's intended to help the paint that goes over it stick to the material better than painting without a primer. Paint won't stick to slick surfaces, but paint will stick to primer. If your top coat is a strong, hard product and you can't scratch THAT off then it doesn't matter that the primer under it might.

No Better Than Any Other Primer!

Scratched off with my fingernail. I used it before on cabinets I stripped and it was okay, but ANY primer would on stripped wood. I tried it on a thoroughly cleaned cabinet and it came very easily with my fingernail. So if I have to strip the finish off to get the STIX to stick, what's the point??? I may as well use any primer. Certainly can't see how it would stick to tile like it claims. Benjamin Moore really fell short with their INSL-X line. Their Stix is no better than any other primer and their white Cabinet Coat yellows very quickly.
