Bought this because it looked like something my family and friends would enjoy. We brought it to Thanksgiving and had a great time with our family! Haven't played with friends yet, but I'm fully expecting it to be even more hilarious with them than it was with family (since we were toning it down a little bit due to our niece being present). Have played twice with two different groups of friends, all smart, fun, overeducated types. We all loved it. Ransom notes forces you to use your creative goofy mind. Highly recommend and eager to check out some of their other games. We did find it helpful to have a timer (not included) but easily found.

This game is utterly ridiculous. We cry laughing every time we play! Make sure the people you play with have the same whacky sense of humor you do, or get fast at vetoing potentially controversial cards (my very christian friend started to get offended by the "how did Jesus die card" but she got over it when we replaced it with the card about advertising chickens for sale).
