Raina Rising: Raina Rising: Winter (Paperback)

In halls of the Soviet ballet school where Raina Devonskya lives to dance, fierce competition has become the least of her worries. As she grows into her immense talent, Raina becomes a target...and now something is happening during her tutoring sessions that may be more dangerous than the aggressive rivalry between dancers. Together with Inga, her best friend and roommate, Raina must discover the truth about what is happening to her in time to save her dance career, and her sanity. During a time when free thinking among Soviets is a dangerous occupation, in a place where there is little freedom of any kind, Raina and Inga must discern for themselves what is true and what is not. Will Inga's rebellious acts and forbidden books get her expelled from the school? Does Raina have what it takes to dance with the upper classes? Will either of them survive the fallout from Raina rising? The first in a trilogy of Raina Rising. The ending is just the beginning.
