My son got this toy when he was 3 (about 35-36" tall if you're wondering if it'll be too big) and adored it. It took him a second to figure out how to control it, but he got it quicker than riding a bike, honestly. He's almost 6 now (45" tall) and still loves it, fits on it perfectly, and rides it all over the neighborhood when we go on walks. It feels VERY sturdy, and it's light enough that he can pick it up and carry it if he needs to. He loves spinning, going backwards, etc. This is honestly one of the few toys I don't have any complaints about at all. It's also gotten more use than the much more expensive power wheels, scooters, roller blades, etc. Because it can make tight turns he can also use it in our small driveway without constantly running out of space, unlike a bike. The picture I included was taken today (so you can see how it fits an older kid), and after 2.5 years of use.
