I've read the other reviews, and I think those dissatisfied, must have done something wrong! I saw the demonstration in Walmart and decided to purchase. Admittedly, it set on top of the fridge for a month, untouched. Finally my son asked, "What is this crazy gadget you bought". I looked up the demonstration on YouTube and showed it to him. From there he took off. He loves French fries. He made them at least three times a week, including hashbrowns. My husband and I loved how quickly he could slice up the food. We decided to learn. It's more than a year later, and we've worn out the poor thing. I only invested 20 dollars or less on it, but it paid off in time savings. Now, we can't do without it, so we're buying another one. :)
