The movie was well made to be a twist of a classic book with more ridiculous situations. Not my favorite, but for those who love film it is fantastic.

Worthwhile Film Experience In Every Way

Great film. Terrific everything including screenplay, acting, cinematography, and direction. Extremely engaging and the film moved along so well that it went by in a flash. Lovely film experience.

For those who love Emma Stone, but this film now!

I didn't watch this physical copy, but I've seen the film roughly twenty times. I have even read the book that the film was adapted from! Emma Stone's performance is a masterclass in both nuance and a certain insanity that she plays so well that it very much immersed me in her story in the film. Being a film by the famed Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (Dogtooth, Kinds of Kindness), I expected a wonderful and unique film, but him and the cast went above and beyond. There is such a cohesion to the film and Bella's outstanding character arc that it only made me ask one question: what more could a film fan ask for? The costume design was second to none and the entire film just worked and was such a potent, riveting and thought-provoking piece (that just happened to be aesthetically pleasing as the icing on the cake that is Poor Things!
