Crock-Pot® Programmable 7-Quart Cook and Carry Slow Cooker, Grey

It was time to replace an old crock pot that began to show its wear from over 12 years of use. 12 years of experience with this brand brought me right back to purchasing a new one. I love the new sleek matte gray look, and the looking lid for travel. very Thank for the quality this brand has provided all these years and just couldn't even image trying a newer brand havi g had such a great history and experience with crock pot through the years. Tried and True! Dependable! Reliable!

Crockpot with a timer is a modern must for anybody looking to slow cook. While this crockpot is very similar to other models and includes feature like a locking lid, there are some features not easily decerned from just looking at the listing. First, the Crockpot main body is very light, due to it not having a traditional hard-shell exterior. Instead, it has a soft, almost fabric feeling exterior. While is stays insulated, this fabric-type material may be an issue if you take your Crockpot in and out of a storage location, as rubbing against it may produce wear and tear later. Additionally, the locking lid is an excellent feature, but Crockpot notes that this is only for transport, and locking the lid while cooking is not recommended. Last, the timer function is fantastic, every future Crockpot should at minimum include this feature. That said, when the timer ends, the Crockpot goes to warm, but does not turn off. These aren't major issues, as this model works without fail, is a fantastic size, and holds up the Crockpot name. Just wanted to share some of the minor changes. Thus far, I've put this to use already a dozen times, works as well as my 30 yr old Crockpot, so the design elements and key functions remain true.
